This is spring training game no. 13, and the Yankees are riding a two-game winning streak. If you care about such things, they are also the best team in baseball so far. The Yankees have a 10-2 record in the early spring, which tops both the Grapefruit and Cactus Leagues. As fun as that may be, it doesn’t mean much once the season starts. Today, the Yankees face the Phillies once again, as Luis Severino takes the mound.
The lineup is filled with MLB regulars, including Aaron Judge, Greg Bird, Giancarlo Stanton, and Gary Sanchez. We will get another look at Brandon Drury at third base, and Tyler Wade will get the start as the second baseman.
Notable players available off the bench for today’s game include Billy McKinney and Miguel Andujar, who have both managed to impress in a short amount of time. New addition Adam Lind will likely get another chance to make the team today. Aroldis Chapman should get into his second game of the spring, and Justus Sheffield will be available from the bullpen.
