ESPN.com | Andrew Marchand: Firstblor has claimed many Yankee first baseman this year, but Mark Teixeira is determined not to let that monster win. Teixeira says that he is feeling much better and he is looking to be back at first on Friday, June 24th. The plan is to play some rehab games at Double-A Trenton on the Tuesday and Wednesday before hand. Good luck, Tex.

New York Daily News | Anthony McCarron: Former Yankees rival Pedro Martinez probably has more faith in the Yankees’ being contenders than the majority of their fanbase does. The Hall of Fame pitcher believes that with the Yankees’ money and resources, as well as their monstrous bullpen and a resurgent offense, they can make a late run for the postseason. Hope springs eternal.

MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: Former Yankee legend Ichiro Suzuki had a milestone day yesterday. With his two hits in yesterday’s game, Ichiro both tied and passed Pete Rose in terms of career hits. Discuss all you want about counting his hit total in Japan, but it’s still an impressive career. His former teammates CC Sabathia and Alex Rodriguez talk about his incredible ability. Joe Girardi talks about how Ichiro wanted to play everyday. What an athlete. What a hitter.

New York Post | Hannah Withlam: Bill Murray decided to celebrate with the Charleston Riverdogs on Tuesday. The Single-A team earned their first playoff spot in eleven years. As the manager, Luis Dorante, poured champagne on him, Murray promptly responded that it "Tastes like victory." Fantastic.
