Sabathia is the fifth starter; Matsui will throw out the first pitch Opening Day; Miller cleared to pitch.

ESPN New York | Matthew Wallace: The Yankees have officially named CC Sabathia the fifth starter in the rotation. Brian Cashman and Joe Girardi both indicated that it was a difficult decision and that it didn't mean Sabathia will be locked into the spot all season. Ivan Nova will pitch out of the bullpen for the time being.

NJ.com | Ryan Hatch: Former Yankee Hideki Matsui is set to throw out the first pitch during Opening Day on Monday.

CBS Sports | Dayn Perry: A hand specialist has cleared Andrew Miller to pitch without undergoing surgery, but he could be limited by pain. The plan is to let the fracture in his wrist to heal naturally, and the team is not sure when to expect him back.

NJ.com | Ryan Hatch: One potential setback for Miller could be trying to figure out how to support his wrist while he pitches. Ideally, Miller needs something to support the bone while it heals, and MLB has very specific rules regarding foreign substances. Girardi said that they can't use tape, so he may just wear a brace most of the time then remove it during games and wear his glove bare-handed.

BP Bronx | Max Gelman: The Yankees haven't gotten quite what they expected from Masahiro Tanaka so far. Should Michael Pineda be considered the true ace of the staff?
