Around the Empire: Yankees news - 2/17/16

Andy Marlin-USA TODAY Sports

NJ.com | Brendan Kuty: Derek Jeter had dinner with a number of Yankees' prospects at this year's version of Captain's Camp, run by Gary Denbo. He posed for pictures, answered questions, and gave advice to the upcoming crop of new Yankees.

New York Daily News | Anthony McCarron: One of the prospects receiving the most praise as players gather in Tampa to prepare for spring training is Gary Sanchez. There is a chance that he will earn the backup catcher job this spring, and the team is certainly high on his potential.

New York Post | Dan Martin: Aaron Judge has made an impression at the Yankees' spring training facility already, taking Andy Pettitte deep a couple of times. Pettitte said that Judge managed to hit a few out onto the highway, also joking that the wind was blowing out to soften the blow.

LoHud | Chad Jennings: Looking back at Joe Girardi's concerns about the team at this time next year and trying to predict where he will stand when camp begins this week. Many of the problems remain the same as they were in 2015.
