New York Times | Michael Powell: The recent report from Al Jazeera on the supposed PED use of Peyton Manning, Ryan Howard, and Ryan Zimmerman has a remote link to Derek Jeter. The man who named them was Charles Sly, a Spy Kids villain business partner of Florida fitness trainer Jason Riley, who worked with all of three accused athletes and Jeter as well. As much as Deadspin would like to link to Jeter to PEDs, this just seems like a hell of a stretch for it to be legitimate, particularly since the accuracy of the report has come under fire anyway..

USA Today | Jorge Ortiz: When assembling a roster of baseball's most valuable players from a pure financial perspective, it's hard to ignore Dellin Betances as a bullpen addition. Although he will only make about $500,000, he is obviously one of baseball's best relievers and strikeout artists. | Bryan Hoch: It's been a struggle for the Yankees to add starters, and for now, it looks like they will enter 2016 with their rotation exactly the same. Gulp.
