ESPN New York | Wallace Matthews: It's been a few months since Alex Rodriguez hit his 3,000th career hit, but the Yankees finally commemorated the event with a brief pregame ceremony yesterday where A-Rod was presented with a ring, among other things.

NJ.com | Ryan Hatch: Jacoby Ellsbury has been up and down since returning from the knee sprain that he suffered earlier in the season, but the offense needs him to turn it around.

ESPN New York | Wallace Matthews: Masahiro Tanaka should be the starter if the Yankees play in the Wild Card game.
