Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

Wall Street Journal | Daniel Barbarisi: Over the past ten years, the Yankees have been adding more and more scouts to their organization.  A lot of them are recent retirees like Matt Daley, who have been having great success evaluating players that, just a few years, or even months, before, they had found themselves playing against.

Fangraphs | David Laurila: Laurila has a great interview with Pinstripe Alley's favorite pitcher - David Cone!  There's some fascinating stuff in here about Cone's strategy against various hitters, so be sure to check this one out.

LoHud Yankees Blog | Chad Jennings: Even after his big day, Greg Bird was still very humble, crediting a lot of his success not to himself, but to Carlos Beltran's good at-bats in front of him. New York Daily News | Andrew McCarron: In the midst of Derek Jeter's contract negotiations back in 2010, GM Brian Cashman reportedly told the Yankee great that he'd prefer to have Troy Tulowitzki instead of The Captain.
