ESPN New York | Wallace Matthews: Brian Cashman spoke to beat writers after the trade deadline and discussed everything from CC Sabathia staying in the rotation to the possibility of adding players off waivers.

NJ.com | Brendan Kuty: Part of the reason the Yankees couldn't get any deals completed is due to the fact that other teams wanted the top prospects that Cashman was unwilling to part with.

Newsday | Erik Boland: Luis Severino will make his first big league start sometime next week during the series against the Red Sox.

MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: Mark Teixeira set a MLB record last night for homering from both sides of the plate in a single game for the 14th time in his career.
