ESPN New York | Andrew Marchand: CC Sabathia was scheduled to start Sunday's game, but the Yankees have decided to skip his spot in the rotation this go around. Joe Girardi said it's to give CC some time to work on a few things, but he's clearly been the worst starter on the Yankees' staff and this way he only makes one more start before the All-Star break.

New York Post | Dan Martin: After letting Carlos Beltran ride the bench for a few days in the hopes that he would feel better, the Yankees placed him on the disabled list yesterday with a left oblique strain.

ESPN New York | David Schoenfield: There has been a lot of drama surrounding the All-Star game voting this year. You know what would be even more interesting than an all-Royals lineup? One with Alex Rodriguez, who reportedly really wants to make the team.

New York Post | Steve Serby: The Yankees' relationship with A-Rod appears to be on the mend. Not only did they come to an amicable agreement regarding his home run bonus money, but they also made a real effort to finally get his 3,000th hit ball back.
