New York Post | Kevin Kernan: The Yankees could trade for a pitcher they've been linked to, such as Johnny Cueto or Mike Leake, but the pitcher they may need to get them to October could be starting against them tonight. Hamels would accept a trade to New York, according to rumors circulating the internet, but the Yankees will be far from the only team interested.

New York Daily News | Justin Tasch: Zack Hample, who caught Alex Rodriguez's 3000th hit home run ball, regrets the comments he made prior to the catch. Hample originally declined to give the ball back to Rodriguez. The team is currently in negotiations with Hample to retrieve the ball in return for a charitable donation to his favorite organization.

LoHud | Chad Jennings: Joe Girardi wouldn't entertain talk of moving CC Sabathia to the bullpen after his struggles against the Phillies Tuesday night. The Yankee manager says that the team is paying Sabathia to be a starter and they just have to find a way to get him right.

NJ.com | Brendan Kuty: Dellin Betances has an explanation for his poor performance in relief against the Phillies Tuesday night: the right-hander didn't have command of his fastball or curveball, leading to him falling behind.
