Ellsbuy's injury is worse than originally though; Jeter and Matsui are teaming up to play in a charity baseball game this weekend; Scouts are down on Beltran and Teixeira; Yankees haven't picked an Opening Day starter yet

ESPN New York | Wallace Matthews: After undergoing an MRI, it was revealed that Jacoby Ellsbury does have a low-grade oblique strain and he is now expected to sit out of all baseball activities for at least a week.

Newsday | Associated Press: Former teammates Derek Jeter and Hideki Matsui will be participating in a charity baseball game together to raise money for survivors of the 2011 tsunami and earthquake in Japan. They're going to put on a baseball clinic and take part in a home run derby this weekend, in addition to the game.

NJ.com | Brendan Kuty: We're only halfway through spring training, but multiple scouts have criticized potential comeback candidates Mark Teixeira and Carlos Beltran. Take this with a grain of salt, since it doesn't really matter what they do in spring training as long as they produce during the regular season.

LoHud Yankees Blog | Chad Jennings: The Yankees have yet to pick an Opening Day starter. CC Sabathia has started on Opening Day in each of his last six seasons with the team, and it appears that they will decide between him and Masahiro Tanaka.
