Around the Empire: Yankees News - 3/14/15

Happy Pi Day!

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports | Charles Curtis:David Robertson, now with the White Sox, wasn't a big fan of the Yankees' rules against facial hair. Seems like a lot of former players decide to abandon their razors after signing elsewhere.

New York Times | Leander Schaerlaeckens: The marriage between the Yankees and the new New York City F.C. is one that both sides will have to manage for the next few years while the latter tries to find a permanent home.

News-Press | David Dorsey: Garrett Jones is pretty excited to be a Yankee. Joe Girardi likes Jones because he brings a power bat that can play at multiple positions to the lineup. Seems like a good match so far.

New York Post | Kevin Kernan: The Yankees' plan for keeping Masahiro Tanaka healthy in 2015 involves giving him an extra day of rest wherever possible. Tanaka said on Friday that he felt better than he did last spring training, which is pretty big after recovering from a partial UCL tear.
