Around the Empire: Yankees news - 10/18/15

Mike Stobe/Getty Images | Brendan Kuty: Former Red Sox GM and current Cubs VP of Baseball Operations dished out some credit for the work Brian Cashman did for the Yankees this season in helping them to overcome injuries and make it to the Wild Card game.

New York Post | Hailey Eber: Randy Levine has inspired a sandwich that you can purchase for $10 at a restaurant on the Upper West Side. The sandwich came from Levine reminiscing with the restaurant's owners about his favorite sandwich.

LoHud | Chad Jennings: The Yankees have a number of options they could pursue for Ivan Nova next season. The right-hander returned from Tommy John surgery with lackluster results in 2015 and is without a clearly defined role in 2016.

CBS Sports | Matt Snyder: Jets WR Brandon Marshall asked for help on Twitter for whether he should support the Cubs or Mets in the NLCS. He tweeted a picture of his decision with one small problem. The hat was clearly a Yankees hat that was done up in Mets colors. Oops.
