Yankees vs. Angels Game Preview: Warren looks to seal series victory

Adam Warren tries to continue his hot pitching, as well as the Yanks' win streak, as he takes the hill against the Angels.

The Yankees will look to take the series and extend their four-game win streak in tonight's middle game against the Angels as a pair of 27-year-old righties square off. For the Yanks, it will be Adam Warren taking the hill. Warren is coming off of arguably his best start of the season against Oakland, in which he allowed two earned runs on six hits and a walk over seven innings. Joe Girardi would definitely like to see some longevity out of Warren again after having to burn his set-up man in last night's unnecessary nail-biter. Warren's experience against the Angels is limited, as he's only faced them in relief. In three appearances, he's thrown 4.1 shutout innings.

Garrett Richards will take the mound for Los Angeles, who has been solid since his mid-April return from knee surgery. In his most recent outing, Richards took the win over Tampa Bay after allowing three earned over six. He's thrown at least six innings in all but one start this season. In his last three starts, however, he's posted a 5.30 ERA. In three career starts against the Yanks, one of which was his major league debut back in 2011, Richards is 0-2 with a 4.29 ERA.

First pitch is slated for 7:15 and can be seen on Fox.
