Yankees vs. Orioles preview: Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

The Yankees head home for a four-game set against the Orioles this weekend at Yankee Stadium. Nathan Eovaldi is charged with getting the team on track to start a new series winning streak after their five-series streak was snapped in Toronto. He got the win his last time out against Boston in which he pitched 6.2 innings of two-run ball against one of the tougher lineups in baseball. Eovaldi will have another difficult assignment to tackle in trying to keep Adam Jones and the Orioles off the scoreboard. Chris Tillman starts for Baltimore. He took a hard-luck loss in his last start against the Rays after giving up two runs in seven innings of work.

Brett Gardner returns to tonight's lineup after temporarily dealing with a sore neck that kept him out of the series finale against the Blue Jays. Jose Pirela got off to a good start yesterday with two hits in his 2015 debut, but he sits tonight in favor of Stephen Drew at second base. Carlos Beltran is batting sixth and playing right field for added fun.
