After the Yankees came out victorious against the Orioles on Monday night, the two teams meet again in game 2 of the three-game set. The Yankees will send out CC Sabathia in his second start of the year while Miguel Gonzalez will go for Baltimore. Last time out, CC surrendered four earned runs on eight hits, but also collected eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings of a game New York eventually lost. Gonzalez is also coming off a loss where he surrendered just one run on three hits and five walks with five strikeouts in 5.2 innings. Both pitchers are going to be hoping for some activity from their offense, so hopefully the Yankees can keep Baltimore's bats at bay.
For those of you looking for injury updates:
Injured SS Brendan Ryan is making good progress coming back from calf strain, is hoping to return at the beginning of May.

At this point it looks like the first one to get back into playing condition will take Gregorio Petit's place on the team as the backup infielder. Hopefully it's Pirela, but we'll see what happens.
