After sweeping the Mariners, the Yankees hope to actually win another game, but they'll have to do it against the Oakland Athletics.

Brett Gardner and Derek Jeter lead off the offense, while Jacoby Ellsbury is, thankfully, still in the lineup, despite the hip soreness from last night. Mark Teixeira, Brian McCann, and Carlos Beltran are in the middle of the order, while Ichiro Suzuki, Brian Roberts, and Kelly Johnson are at the bottom. Yangervis Solarte has the day off. Boo.
So it would seem that Michael Pineda won't be returning until August. Yup. After suffering a setback in his rehab and being transferred to the 60-day disabled list, it looks like we won't be seeing him for a long time. This is all because he used pine tar that one time, isn't it.
On the prospect injury front, Slade Heathcott will have his surgically repaired knee scoped again in order to clean up the area. At this rate I'd be surprised if he saw any more action this year. Eric Jagielo should be back within a week to ten days from a leg injury, while Abiatal Avelino (quad), and Luis Torrens (shoulder), should be back in two weeks.
