The Yankees are back for more against the Cardinals and will hope to keeping the winning going after last night's extra innings affair.
#Yankees lineup: Gardner 7, Jeter 6, Ellsbury 8, McCann 2, Solarte 5, Soriano 9, Roberts 4, Johnson 3, Phelps 1. No Teixeira.

Mark Teixeira is out of the lineup for the second night now. That's not good, but it's not exactly a bad thing yet as he said last night that he probably needed more rest. With Tex out, the lineup is Brett Gardner, Derek Jeter, and Jacoby Ellsbury at the top of the order. Brian McCann, Yangervis Solarte, and Alfonso Soriano make up the middle of the order. Brian Roberts, legit first baseman Kelly Johnson, and David Phelps round out the bottom of the order.
Michael Pineda pitched two innings in extended spring training today and was said to be looking good. He threw 20 of his 28 pitches for strikes and will likely throw in Tampa again before the next step is reached. As long as Pineda is healthy, I'm not worried how long it takes him to get back. He's due to return in June, so we know he's still an option for the Yankees' depleted rotation.
