The Yankees will try again to get their first victory of the season as Ivan Nova takes the ball for the Yankees. The Astros are going for the sweep tonight and to lose three in a row to the worst team in baseball for the last few seasons would probably not be the ideal way to start the year. People would be insufferable. Luckily, we're only two games in, so the Yankees have plenty of time to figure it all out.
The Yankees change it up tonight:
#Yankees lineup Vol. 3: Gardner 8, Jeter 6, Beltran DH, Teixeira 3, Soriano 7, Cervelli 2, Roberts 4, Suzuki 9, Solarte 5, Nova 1.

Jacoby Ellsbury, Brian McCann and Kelly Johnson will get the night off. Note that Brett Oberholtzer is a lefty, so there goes that whole "Kelly Johnson is the everyday third baseman" idea. Yangervis Solarte will make his first MLB start of his MLB career at third, while Carlos Beltran will get a half day off as the DH. Mark Teixeira is now batting cleanup, which is just gross considering his three-K night. Alfonso Soriano will play the field and Francisco Cervelli gets his first taste of 2014. Also, Ichiro Suzuki is in the lineup, because Girardi. That should be fun.
According to Marly Rivera of ESPN New York, the Astros and Mariners have both expressed interest in the recently designated for assignment Eduardo Nunez.

The Yankees still have nine days to decide what to do with him -- trade him, release him, or expose him to waivers -- so there is still time for other teams to enter into the fray. If he goes to waivers, it's highly unlikely that he would still be around for the Tigers, Blue Jays or Rangers, who could all use shortstops. Right now Seattle and Houston are relying on Willie Bloomquist and Marwin Gonzalez, respectively, to back up their infields. The Mariners once asked for Nunez in a potential Cliff Lee deal, so their interest shouldn't be a surprise, but the Astros must think they can cash in on some of Nunez's noted "potential."
The game is at 8:10 pm EDT again and you can watch on YES or MLB.tv
