Yankees lineup vs. Cubs - Game Two: Derek Jeter returns, Shane Greene called up

Elsa

The Yankees are looking to sweep the Cubs in the night game of the doubleheader after Masahiro Tanaka's dominant start led them to victory. Their other exciting starter, Michael Pineda, will make his third start since returning from shoulder surgery, and so far he's been great. Let's hope Pinaka/Taneda Day keeps going.

Here is the lineup for Game Two:

Brett Gardner remains in the leadoff spot, but this time he'll be in center field to replace Jacoby Ellsbury. Derek Jeter finally returns to the lineup after four days off. It was disconcerting seeing him on the bench for the first game, but it soon came out that he would just be playing in the night game. Carlos Beltran moves to DH while Alfonso Soriano shifts to left field. Yangervis Solarte stays in at second base and Ichiro Suzuki will stay in right field after he came in as a defensive replacement in Game One. Surprisingly, Scott Sizemore is back out at third; I had assumed they'd go easy on him early, but Dean Anna sits instead. Kelly Johnson remains at first base and the newly recalled John Ryan Murphy makes his season debut behind the plate.

The Yankees have also called up Shane Greene from Triple-A to serve as their "26th man" given to teams during doubleheaders. The confusing part of it all was that it was reported yesterday that the Yankees weren't allowed to call up a player because the rainout didn't allow for the necessary 48 hours in advance. That report was wrong:
