If you survived yesterday’s marathon of a game, congratulations. If you didn’t, the Yankees are already 1-0 on this West Coast road trip, and are a season-high two games over .500. They also used quite a lot of relievers for a game where their starter went seven innings, so they’re going to need a quality start from the man on the mound, Domingo German. German was originally going to be pushed back until Wednesday after the Yankees called up Jonathan Loaisiga, but the team reverted back to schedule.

Facing off against German will be Chris Stratton, who has had a rough go so far in 2019. The 25-year-old was a part of the Giants organization to start the year, but got cut after spring training. The Angels picked him up and slotted him into the rotation, but Stratton has been unable to find his footing so far. He boasts a 7.00 ERA (5.49 FIP) and a 2.00 WHIP over 18 innings, which practically screams for regression to the mean, but the Yankees will do their best to prevent that.

One thing to note in the lineups is Clint Frazier’s absence. The outfielder twisted his ankle running the bases late in yesterday’s game and is being held out as a precaution, but is active and available for Aaron Boone today. Seems like they want to give him at least a few innings off, if the plan is to insert him later in the night.

First pitch is scheduled for 10:07 p.m EST. The game will be televised on YES, and for out-of-market folks, and you can listen in at WFAN 660/101.9 FM or WADO 1280. You can also stream the game with
