The rain put a damper on the Yankees' comeback hopes in the opening game of this weekend’s series against the White Sox, but today brings them another chance. The team is in the midst of a four-game loss streak, and things have been looking bleak. The Yankees will finally welcome some positive injury news however, as CC Sabathia returns from the Injured List and will make his season debut for the final time of his lengthy career.

Sabathia has a tough task as far as season debut’s go. The bullpen has been taxed heavily recently, and the Yankees are in need of a solid start immediately from the 38-year-old. Sabathia has struggled over recent years with getting deep into games, particularly struggling the third time through the order, but if he can get to 5-6 innings, I’d have to imagine the Yankees would be satisfied.

A former friend will face Sabathia from the other side. Ivan Nova pitched in the Bronx for six years before a trade to Pittsburgh, but has found his way back to the American League this year with the ChiSox. Nova has been up and down to start 2019, tossing seven strong against the Indians before failing to make it out of the third against the Mariners.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. EST. You can catch the game on YES, listen in on WFAN 660/101.9FM or WADO 1280, or stream the game on fuboTV. Your lineups:
