The Yankees and Orioles were ready to play baseball yesterday, but mother nature had other plans. The opening game of the series got rescheduled to July, making this a regular three game series to start the road trip. Gleyber Torres continues to be shuffled around the lineup, dropping back into the nine hole. Meanwhile. Miguel Andujar gets the day off as Neil Walker logs some innings at third. Plus, once again Austin Romine will be behind the plate again to accompany Sonny Gray.
The Yankees’ lineup will be facing off against Andrew Cashner in this matchup. His season numbers aren’t great, he owns a 5.07 ERA through 11 starts, but he was finding his groove before his most recent outing, posting four consecutive starts allowing three earned runs or less. Tampa Bay bounced him around for 12 hits and five runs last Saturday to end that streak, and now the Yankees will look to follow that up with a big offensive performance of their own.
