The Yankees went with yet another right-handed college arm in the seventh round of the draft when the team selected Dalton Higgins from Dallas Baptist. The Forth Worth, Texas natives follows in the footsteps of his father, who was also drafted back in 1985.

The younger Higgins has served as a setup man for Dallas Baptist and has a solid overall season. He is a fastball-slider pitcher but will need to improve his offerings if he is to have continued success at the next level.

Here is Pinstripe Alley’s write-up on Higgins.
