The Trenton Thunder swept through two rounds of Eastern League playoffs to be crowned the champions on Thursday night. Harrisburg scored the first run of the night in the bottom of the first inning, but Trenton quickly rebounded with a five-run third and never looked back from there. They capped off their night with a three-run ninth inning for good measure. The Thunder lost their long-time friend and bat dog Chase to cancer earlier this season. Chase's owner, VP of Corporate Sales and Partnerships for the Thunder Eric Lipsman, said it best.
