The RailRiders out-hit the PawSox 14-6, but came up short in the run column after Pawtucket rallied for two runs in the fourth and fifth innings to tie the game and another run in the seventh to ultimately pull off the victory.

After allowing the tying run to score in the top of the ninth inning the Thunder managed to push a run across in the bottom of the 10th inning to keep their narrow lead in the playoff hunt with their 69th win of the season.

A seven-run third inning for the Cubs was the real downfall for Tampa, though they only managed to score two runs in the game. The loss dropped the Yankees to 53-73 on the year.

Despite five defensive errors that managed to not cost the RiverDogs, they stormed back from an early deficit with runs in every inning between the 4th and 7th innings, including a four-run seventh. Charleston is, unfortunately, only one game from elimination from the South Atlantic League playoff contention even with a win.

The Yankees fell behind 4-0 early after the ValleyCats scored two runs in each of the first and second innings. That alone was enough to hand them their 39th loss of the season after only scoring three runs on six hits.
