The Yankees piled on four runs in the fifth and the eighth innings after jumping out to an early 1-0 lead in the first. GCL Yankees 1 picked up 15 hits in their 9-5 win over the GCL Phillies. Tyler Wade was 2-3 with a double, an RBI, and a strikeout. Gosuke Katoh was 3-5 with a double, and Christopher Breen picked up two doubles and three RBI. Austin Aune picked up two hits to go with two strikeouts and Jordan Barnes went 1-5.
GCL Yankees 2 beat the GCL Braves 7-1, thanks to a five-run sixth inning. Adonis Garcia and Nathan Mikolas were both 2-4. Dalton Smith picked up a single and struck out three times. Rony Bautista pitched five innings of one-hit, no-run ball while racking up eight strikeouts.
