It's not quite the three-way tie that Team Entropy was hoping for after the Indians pulled off a victory Sunday to ensure themselves of one of the two American League Wild Card spots. With the Rangers and Rays tying in the standings, the teams descend upon Arlington tonight for a winner-take-all Game 163 for the right to play the Indians in another winner-take-all game Wednesday in Cleveland. These two teams have basically been in win or go home mode for days because a loss and a win by the other would have eliminated them from contention. Tonight's culmination of that should be exciting.
The Rangers are starting Rookie of the Year hopeful Martin Perez against the reigning Cy Young winner, David Price. After serving his 50-game suspension for his connection with the Biogenesis clinic, Nelson Cruz is back and in the lineup for the Rangers for the first time since his suspension.
Tonight's game will air on TBS at 8:07 pm. You can also check out the Rangers and Rays SB Nation sites, Lone Star Ball and DRaysBay, for more information about the two teams and analysis of tonight's game.
