Yankees first baseman Luke Voit is the subject of a new children's book, Luke's Baseball Story by Richard Torrey. Voit will visit a number of Bronx-area schools to read the book, which might be the nicest news you've read today. A portion of the proceeds will also go to The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a cause close to the hearts of New Yorkers. We could all use some good news these days, and this definitely makes you smile.
Earlier this week I received the Yankees 2018 All-Star cap from New Era. In terms of appearance, this year's version is far superior to previous editions. I'm a fan of the gray and white combination, and the stars on top are subtle so as to not distract from the interlocking logo. This is probably the best special Yankees cap since 2012, when they turned back the clock for a Highlanders style. Grade: A-.
