Another two weeks have gone by, just like that. We’ve crossed over to 2024, but we’re nowhere close to finishing the offseason and having the full scope of what this year’s teams are going to look like yet. The Dodgers are continuing to scoop up players, adding Teoscar Hernández in what has been an all-time all-in offseason, but the rest of the scene has been slow to develop.
You likely know the story from here, if you’ve been checking in at all periodically. Blake Snell and Jordan Montgomery are still on the table in free agency, and Dylan Cease and Shane Bieber are on the market via trade if the Yankees want to cough up the prospects. There’s no perfect solution left to the team, but Hal Steinbrenner seems committed to still getting a significant arm upgrade. Which player should they go for, what should the cost be, and what will they actually end up with? If you’ve got questions like these, or anything else on your mind, send ‘em in for a chance to be featured in our Yankees mailbag.
Answers will run on Friday afternoon. All questions received by the night of January 11th will be considered. You can leave your submissions in the comment section below or by e-mail to pinstripealleyblog [at] gmail [dot] com.
