Happy new year!

We made it!

With all due respect to Gerrit Cole’s Cy Young season, we can officially throw the deeply disappointing 2023 calendar into the bin. It’s a new year, and even though the 2024 MLB campaign won’t begin until March 28th, we can’t wait to see what the Yankees have in store. At the very least, Juan Soto will make things a little more interesting than they were for the vast majority of 2023. Let’s hope that he, Cole, and captain Aaron Judge get more support before Opening Day.

It’s a holiday, so we won’t be too busy on the site. But keep an eye out for Estevão on AL East New Year’s resolutions and Peter with the monthly Brian Cashman poll.

Questions/Prompts:

1. Who wins the two College Football Playoff games today with Michigan vs. Alabama and Washington vs. Texas?

2. Do you have any fun New Year’s Day traditions?
