Ask Pinstripe Alley: Yankees mailbag questions request

There’s a new season of Yankees baseball on the horizon, and it’s time to hit the ground running. From here on out, we’ll be back on a weekly schedule with our little mailbag here, on call to answer your questions as spring training unfolds and the 2023 team gets into gear. With that in mind, there’s a few things to consider in the opening week as we await the first exhibition games.

The competitions that we all have our eyes on haven’t changed. That being said, there’s a number of minor details to already start paying attention to. Will Nestor Cortes be fine with a delayed spring after suffering a hamstring strain? Will Deivi García show enough to draw attention from the Yankees or an interested third party? Will there be any standout rookies besides the ones gunning for Opening Day roster spots?
