A happy Solstice for you all.

We’re trucking along in this weird semi-state between the holiday season and the end of the year where not much gets done. Nothing much is happening on the free agent front either with Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s decision looming after Christmas and the rest of the market awaiting his choice to follow up on. Instead, we’ll all have to be content with cruising through another day.

While we’re doing that, feel free to check out some of what we’ve got going on. Andrés leads off with a look at Sean Manaea as an option for the pitching staff as a whole, and Noah unveils the return of Yankees Book Club with a focus on a deep dive into Mickey Mantle’s life. Matt discusses Jack Chesbro’s career as he slots in at No. 44 in our Top 100, and for fun Peter examines Marcus Stroman’s free agency even though the odds of him donning pinstripes are very low.

Questions/Prompts:

1. How many Yankees will hit 20 or more homers next year?

2. Now how many Yankees will record 150 or more strikeouts (as a pitcher)?
