We continue to stay on Yamamoto Watch.

Yesterday almost seemed to represent a reset in the Yoshinobu Yamamoto sweepstakes, with ESPN’s Jeff Passan reporting that the rumors of $300+ million offers were false, and that actual bidding was expected to begin Monday. Yamamoto’s decision is the biggest ongoing story in the game, and it seems that the breathless week of rumors and meetings was likely much ado about nothing. The Yankees remain firmly involved, but hopefully, things become more clear in the next few days.

This morning, check out some fascinating analysis from Esteban on whether Juan Soto could make any mechanical adjustments to take advantage of his new home stadium. Also, Andrew writes up Goose Gossage, who slides in at 46 on our Top 100, Josh profiles Cuban hurler Yariel Rodríguez, and Peter discusses Shane Bieber, the former Cy Young winner who could be on the move this winter.

Questions/Prompts:

1. Who will lead the 2024 Yankees in home runs?

2. Where will Cody Bellinger end up this winter?
