Shohei Ohtani is really gonna be on the Dodgers in 2024! What a thing.

Shohei Ohtani is a Dodger. Juan Soto is a Yankee. The past few days have brought some bonkers news, but Sunday was relatively quiet. We all must rest at some point! The Dodgers were so hung over that they couldn’t complete a trade with the Yankees that was essentially already reported! That’s commitment (or lack thereof).

Today on the site, we’re back on a weekday and going full-bore on potential new Yankees to join Soto and company in the Bronx! First, there’s John on free agent/World Series champion Mitch Garver, should New York want to add an established hitter into the catching mix (even if he can’t catch much). Next up is Malachi, who will discuss hard-throwing reliever Jordan Hicks (who the Yankees have already been connected to), and later, Peter will dip into the trade market on 2021 NL Cy Young Award winner Corbin Burnes. Also, don’t miss Matt on a Top 100 Yankees player who doesn’t get the respect he deserves, and Madison calling for your mailbag questions.

Questions/Prompts:

1. Will Juan Soto be enough to get the Yankees back in the World Series, or do you predict that they’ll fall short again in 2024?

2. Will Shohei Ohtani be enough to get the Dodgers back in the World Series, or do you predict that they’ll fall short again in 2024?
