Today on Pinstripe Alley - 12/1/23

We enter the month that will hopefully be responsible for a whole lot of hot stove action.

MLB: New York Yankees at Kansas City Royals Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

We’ve reached the beginning of December, which means that MLB’s winter meetings are just days away. That could mean a torrent of news, Yankees-related and otherwise. There’s certainly been smoke surrounding the Yankees and Juan Soto, leading to the sense that the superstar outfielder could be in pinstripes by next week. We can only hope.

On the site today, John delivers our final batch of report cards, these on the many miscellaneous hitters the Yankees employed thanks to the myriad injuries the club suffered throughout 2023, Andrés discusses Allie Reynolds, number 64 on our Top 100, and Madison delivers the answers to this week’s mailbag. Also, as it’s the first of the month, Peter gives us December’s GM poll, plus, Malachi analyzes Eduardo Rodríguez as a free agent target, and Estevão examines the trade rumor around Vlad Guerrero Jr.

Questions/Prompts:

1. Setting aside the contracts they will sign, who do you think would help the Yankees more in 2024, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, or Cody Bellinger?

2. Soto could be on the move, but excepting him, who do you think is the biggest star the will be traded during the winter meetings?
