It just feels like the Yankees are going to wind up with a bunch of nothing.

Soto & Yamamoto would be great. Bellinger doesn't do much for me, but he would be okay if no Soto deal emerges.

Montgomery would be a good acquisition if the Yankees don't mess with the way he now pitches. He is not a strikeout pitcher. The Korean CFer would be good but he will have a big adjustment period. Cole and Judge need to win now.

These thoughts on Margot or Verdugo are not going to move any needle in the Bronx. These two guys are middling MLB players.

When all is said and done we still have Hal and Cashman, so my confidence in anything significant happening this offseason is very small. I hope to be surprised.
