There wasn’t much of note on the free agent front yesterday, but the infamous Hall of Fame season is open after the BBWAA dropped this year’s ballot of candidates for induction into baseball immortality. There’s a number of former Yankees with varying chances of winning enough votes to make it, but there aren’t too many new names in this year’s ballot that wore the pinstripes long-term.

In the short term, it’s another day for us to reflect and speculate on the site. Josh has a double-feature today, first musing on the idea of Josh Hader’s free agency for our FA Targets before breaking down all the ways that this year went wrong for Giancarlo Stanton in our latest report card. In between, Andrew stops by to deliver the latest entry into the Top 100 with late-1940s rotation stalwart Vic Raschi joining the team.

Questions/Prompts:

1. When CC Sabathia enters the ballot for the Hall of Fame, will he get in first try or will it drag on for several years?

2. Who will be the next player to be inducted unanimously into the Hall?
