Why did Cashman trade for this guy?

Does this open up the possibility of Trevor Bauer on a league minimum contract? Obviously he'd have to kiss and make up with Cole.

It's obvious Cashman is making some dumb decisions. Montas had a bad shoulder when we got him. And they just agreed to pay him $10.2MM. I hope that contract was subject to a physical that he failed.
