As of the time of writing, I currently have a headache that is probably shared by many Yankees fans. The combination of frustrating baseball and West Coast play is not a particularly kind one to sleep schedules. We’ll leave it at that. The Yankees are thankfully off today and flying to Boston for a Friday showdown at Fenway.
But don’t forget about them entirely! We have some excellent stuff today on the site. Peter will run through the Rivalry Roundup, John will discuss Gerrit Cole’s somewhat-overlooked pursuit of franchise strikeout history, and Jeff will explore Jose Trevino and Kyle Higashioka’s difference in pitch-calling. Later on, Josh will detail a possible problem that Andrew Benintendi could have with Yankee Stadium, Estevão will ruminate on the Yankees and Astros, and Sam will analyze Gleyber Torres’ recent struggles with off-speed pitches.
We also released a new episode of the PSA Podcast last night too, so tune into that if you have time today! Peter guest-hosted with me, and while the Yankees are obviously going through a funk, we had a good time bantering about the team.

Fun Questions:
1. Which current Yankee’s production do you find to be most concerning?
2. Will you watch the second edition of the Field of Dreams Game tonight between the Cubs and Reds?
