The contract he turned down before the season was more then fare. Yes he had an amazing season no doubt. Yet for that amount of money n length its crazy. The guy is 30 n is a a 9 year deal. Do you think a 37,38 guy will be playing great with that amount of cash, well no. Not to mention he hasnt always been healthy. For me a 6 year deal would have been perfect. I would have let him walk, n resigned Tallion.To make matters worse we still need pitching, n let a great pitcher walk, n gave a great player too much money n a nine year contract.
