Since baseball shut down in March of last year, we have kept you posted on what the Yankees have been up to on social media. Although baseball is getting back to normal, it’s still fun to check in our favorite players and Yankee figures, so we will continue to do so throughout 2021. Here’s your weekly update on what your favorite Yankees have been doing on social media!
Aaron Judge meets with Kemba Walker and A Boogie wit da Hoodie
Three New York stars in one picture. After a Yankees victory on Friday night, Aaron Judge hung out with one of the newest Knicks members Kemba Walker and New York-born rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie. To build off the tweeted caption, the only way to make it more Bronx would be if Andrew Velazquez was involved.

Jonathan Loáisiga repping his home country
From September 17-19, the Yankees will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by letting their players wear their flag on the side of their hat. This is a very cool gesture and Loáisiga want you to join in! In his tweet, it reads, “To all the people who have plans to go to the stadium this month, buy the tickets with this promotion and look for your New York Yankees cap with the Nicaraguan flag.”
A todas las personas que tienen planes de ir al estadio en este mes compren las tickets con esta promoción y busquen su gorra de los New York Yankees con la bandera de Nicaragua https://t.co/NkFlco0ZUT

Luis Gil is staying ready
After making three starts in the majors and not allowing a single run, Gil was sent back down to Triple-A due to the rotation crunch. He’s continued to deal in Scranton as well. In his most recent start, he went five innings, allowing just two hits, no runs, and nine strikeouts! The Yankees have said that he’s likely to appear during this “20 games in 20 days” stretch, so keep your eyes on the series previews and pitching probables.
