Well, a win is a win, as they say. You don’t typically want to struggle into extras against the Orioles, but the Yankees at least pulled off a victory last night to string together a short win streak. They’ll look to make shorter work of Baltimore in today’s matinee, as they’ll throw Jordan Montgomery to the mound. Hopefully the offense shows up in support of the tough-luck mid-rotation lefty.
Today on the site, Dan profiles Roderick Arias, a top international prospect who’s rumored to sign with the Yankees once the IFA period opens, while Matt, inspired by the Yankees’ red-hot August, looks back at the best and most important calendar months in team history. Also, John profiles one of the stranger no-hitters in Yankee history, and Kevin looks at Yankees who have excelled in Septembers past.
