The Yankees theoretically should be back in New York now, having completed their west coast trip with a victory against the Angels on Wednesday. In reality there may still be some hours until the team charter arrives, since Hurricane Ida has caused extensive flooding issues in the city among other places. The Yanks are off today, which makes their arrival time a moot point, but we’ll still have some content for you to peruse at your leisure. Dan and Josh both chose to zone in on Jasson Dominguez’s stumble out of the gate in his professional career — Dan looks into his recent upswing and examines reasons for optimism, while Josh compares Dominguez’s debut to other uber-prospects at the same age and level of competition. Jon breaks down the successes and failures from the Wild Card game contestants over the years, and Jesse has some fun with Yankees killers who really haven’t impressed against anyone else. Andrew and Kunj will also be around to deliver the latest episode of the podcast.
