Today on Pinstripe Alley - 8/7/21

A fine weekend to keep winning.

The Yankees are, dare I say it, on a roll. They will, however, face a test today; they’ll have to try to win while starting Andrew Heaney. The left-hander had a tough debut as a Yankee, yielding four home runs against the Orioles earlier this week. If he can smooth things out a bit, the Yankees will have every chance to extend their winning streak to five against the Mariners.

It’s another packed day on the site. Inspired by Anthony Rizzo, Erica looks at recent Yankees how immediately endeared themselves to Yankee fans after first coming to the Bronx, while Andres discusses what exactly makes Rizzo such a good fit for New York. Estevão analyzes Jonathan Loáisiga’s success, and Peter ruminates on the folly of relying on pitching prospects.
