The road trip heads over to Anaheim.

So, things didn’t exactly end how the Yankees hoped they would in Oakland. After a pair of thrilling wins, the offense was helpless for long stretches as the A’s salvaged a split in the next two games. Jordan Montgomery once again was handed a losing hand, pitching a strong outing while getting zero help from the bats, and Tony Kemp continued a vendetta against pinstripes, hitting his fifth home run of the season — and third against the Yankees. It was a very unfun afternoon.

It’s hard to complain about a small stumble when most of the last two weeks has gone the Yankees’ way, though. Perhaps we’ll get right back to that, and if so, the Angels are the next team in sight. Before the first pitch tonight, we’ve got a couple things for you to check out: Matt brings the series preview, Emma makes a pitch to the powers that be to appoint Aaron Judge captain of the team, and I’ll open up the mailbag for more of your questions.
