August has been good to the Yankees so far. They completed a sweep of the Marlins, an impressive feat despite the poor record of the opponent due to New York’s recent inability to close out a sweep, and their new players are gelling. Anthony Rizzo is already entering the folklore for his clutch performance, and now we’ll get to see him and Joey Gallo don the pinstripes for the first time as they take on the lowly Orioles. This part of the schedule can be a major boost to their playoff hopes if they keep up their performance of late, but they can’t afford to waste a single game.

Today on the site, one of our newest writers will make his debut.
