Ask Pinstripe Alley: Yankees mailbag questions request

The mailbag’s ready for another round of your questions.

Ask Pinstripe Alley

Another week, another handful of series won. The Yanks are making a push, gaining ground slowly but surely by taking care of the competition in front of them. Time isn’t on their side, but their two closest hurdles are represented by opponents that will be right in front of them throughout these next two weeks. The time to put up or shut up is now, and a resounding answer could be enough to catapult them onto more solid ground.

The season has been full of surprises, and it’s likely to deliver more of them until the final day arrives. The biggest surprise of all has probably been the handful of players that the team couldn’t possibly have imagined needing back in March. Will Nestor Cortes continue to force his way into the rotation conversation? Can Luke Voit work his way into the lineup when Anthony Rizzo returns? Will reinforcements from the IL arrive fast enough to have an impact on the season? If you’ve got questions like these, or any other concerns, be sure to send them in for a chance to be featured in our Yankees mailbag.

Answers will run on Friday morning. All questions received by the night of August 19th will be considered. You can leave your submissions in the comment section below or by e-mail to pinstripealleyblog [at] gmail [dot] com.
