I’ll be honest, my head kind of hurt after watching the Yankees play 17 times in 17 days. The game’s were pretty darn good, but exhausting as well, due in part to the gradually depleting pitching options. I can only imagine how actual dudes on the field felt, so needless to say, I’m sure they appreciated the day off. They and the White Sox will be back at it tonight in Chicago, and hey! Jameson Taillon will be pitching instead of Andrew Heaney, so things are looking up already.
Today on the site, Peter will look into how the Yankees have changed their pitching philosophy, Erica will consider how the Yankees’ COVID situation compares with other teams around the league, and Erin will explore the bullpen’s odd-but-successful evolution from its Opening Day form. Later, Dan will discuss emerging prospect Everson Pereira, and Esteban will delve into the Yankees with the most extreme leverage splits.
