Your rundown on the first of the month.

Nothing about this Yankees season has been particularly quiet; the team has either been losing games in spectacular fashion, making splashy moves, or going on short, briefly-inspiring win streaks. That said, it feels like they’re quietly playing well right now, as they’ve gone on a very nice 14-7 run since bottoming out at 41-41. The math says that two wins every three games, and if they can keep up that pace a little longer, they’ll be back in the thick of things in no time.

We continue to recap the trade deadline on the site, as Matt runs down what the Yankees’ AL East rivals did at the deadline. Also, John goes over the community reaction to the Andrew Heaney deal, Joe spins around Yankee social media, and we run this month’s GM approval poll.
